Family Fun Night!

Last night was our funtastic family fun night!!  OK, enough dorky word-play, let’s skip to the good stuff.

We started off with an unplanned stop at Sweet Tomatoes buffet and salad bar.  It was unplanned, meaning I didn’t plan anything for dinner.  So when Dennis got home from work, we were “forced” to eat out 😉  What can I say it was Friday night, I didn’t feel like hanging out in the kitchen.

It was nothing fancy, just your typical salad bar with all of the trimmings.

  A little bit of everything

Until I hit the soup and bakery bar- that clam chowder soup hit the spot!  And the muffins were pretty darn tasty too.

And you’d better believe we all dove into the dessert bar!  Lava cake or soft serve?  I went for the soft serve.  Sprinkles just make everything taste better, don’t you think?

Check out those toppings!

After we all declared we were going to explode, it was time to head out to the main attraction of the evening, Mountasia!

Sorry for the grainy pics.  I forgot my camera and my cell phone doesn’t do night photos very well.

Our plan for the night was to partake in a couple rounds of go karts, then hit the bumper boats and put-put golf.  Unfortunately, we were in for a disappointing surprise… no flip-flops allowed on go karts!  Colette and I both wore flip-flops, and were seriously bummed we couldn’t ride.  Not allowing that to ruin our evening, we signed on for a round of golf and bought a couple tickets for the bumper boats- Dennis and I opted out of the boats (they had nozzles that sprayed water on everything within 6 ft of them- no thanks!).

The girls had a great time!

Then it was time for put-put!  Dennis gave the girls a quick lesson.

Then it was my turn… as soon as I started playing, I remembered just how horrible I am!

Watch out Tiger!

By the third hole, we decided keeping score was pointless, as the girls were getting upset and irritable.  Once we threw out the score card, however, everyone relaxed and we zipped through the rest of the course.

Overall, we had a great time, and will definitely be going back! (Next time we will wear proper shoe wear!)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
